Takers
Takers is an action/crime/thriller movie which consists of a group of notorious bank robber in LA that carry out the most coolest bank-robbing in the city. On the groups most audacious job in this slick and starry heist thriller, the group were all in for a piece of the action, while a tenacious cop is determined to ruin their biggest laid plans. Wall-to-wall flash served with a generous helping of a bang and a wallop.
In the opening to the film we are introduced to all the main characters involved in the plot, we immediately get a insight of the groups calmness and intelligence into how they profile themselves into carrying out the job/robbery. We are also introduced to the police officers which are later on going to find out about this group of professional robbers plans and try to nail them down.
I like the way a sound motif is used while all the group makes their way to the location of the planned robbery which is on the top floor of the building which is being renovated sseing as this is a right place to plot a robbery, also because its gives us an insight that something dramatic is about to take place.
(Add screen grabs here with description)
The motif along with the camera work is great combination because the camera work suggests to us the roles of the character for example when the main character is walking towards the building through the city the camera is first shows the character from a high angle then cuts straight to his suit case which may have a significance to the film.
